Saturday 20th September saw the second Open Day held in our new workshop. The day started fine, and even before opening time there were visitors awaiting admittance. Altogether there were nearly 300 visitors from as far afield as the Isle of Man, East Anglia and Leicestershire. There was much to see and talk about, either on the guided tours led by Katherine or with the organ builders at work.

Among the sights were the new two-manual organ for St George's Church, Douglas, I.O.M.
The five-stop practice organ, recently back from the St. Albans Festival, was demonstrated informally by Mark and played later by our visitors.
A very popular feature was Nigel casting spotted metal.
A buffet was laid on and about 100 guests and organ builders partook of this and of the drinks available throughout the day.

Generally a good time was had by all, and many visitors availed themselves of the opportunity not only to get their questions answered, but also to buy either CDs of H&H organs or some of our posters.
